What the message means, and what to do.

MotionTyped shows a plain sentence and one next step. These are the common ones, grouped by where you meet them.

Every message has a Details fold with the technical text and a code. Keep what is in it: we will ask for it if you report a problem.

Starting a project

That address can't be used.Use the public web address of your product. Private and internal addresses are not allowed.
We couldn't read that website.Check the address, or start a new project and describe your product instead.
That file type isn't supported.Use a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG picture. Logos are SVG or PNG. Screenshots are PNG, JPEG or WebP.
That file is too big.Use a smaller one, under a few megabytes.
That is too much to send at once.Use fewer or smaller files.
That question is no longer open.Reload the page to see the current questions.

While the film builds

The writing helper isn't set up on this server.The server has no model key or login. Ask whoever runs MotionTyped to set it up, then start a new project. In the editor, edit the words yourself.

A project that stops shows This project stopped. If it got past reading your site, Try again is offered. If it could not read your site, only Start a new project is.

Editing

You seeWhat to do
Not saved: the line is too long for 9:16Shorten the line. The counter beside it shows the limit, and the size named is the one that does not fit.
That change would break the film, so nothing was saved.Change it a little and try again. The film is as it was.
That change would leave the film in a broken state, so nothing was saved.Undo the last change or try a smaller one.
This project changed somewhere else.Reload to see the latest, then try again.
The new scene didn't pass the checks, so nothing was changed. / The rewrite didn't work.Try again, or edit the words yourself.
That scene didn't pass the checks. / Some of those values don't fit.Change the words or the settings and try again.

That colour would be hard to read in the film.Pick a different colour. The message gives one that passes.

Sound, voice and export

You seeWhat to do
This film still has placeholder music, which can't be exported.Pick a licensed track in the Music tab, then export again. See the note on placeholder music.
There are no spoken words to turn into captions.Add a voice-over first, or export without captions.
Captions come from the voice-over; turn voice on to add them.Turn voice-over on in the Voice tab to use SRT or VTT. Burned-in captions do not need it.
The preview sound can't be put together right now. / The preview has no sound right now.The film itself is fine. Try again in a moment.
No voice engine is set up on this server, so the voice can't be made here.Ask whoever runs MotionTyped to set one up. You can still export without voice-over.

Access and limits

Limits depend on your plan, and plans are not final. These messages can appear once accounts and plans are on.

MotionTyped didn't accept your access key.Open the link you were given again, or ask for a new one.
You can't open that.Check you are in the right workspace.

That is too many requests in a short time.Wait a minute and try again.
You are out of credits.Add credits, then try again.
You already have as many films running as your plan allows.Wait for one to finish, then try again.

That film is longer than your plan allows.Choose a shorter length, or upgrade your plan.
That needs a paid plan.Upgrade your plan, then try again.
MotionTyped couldn't reach its work queue.Wait a moment and try again.
